Missoula is full of amazing artists, and now it's time once again for them to showcase their talents locally on the traffic signal boxes.

You know what I'm talking about. Sitting next to a stop light and you look over and see the crazy artwork. Well, that was done locally by one of our very own artists, not only that, but it's a community program that is organized and funded right here. How cool is that?! It really is just something else that makes Missoula so special.

This year's traffic signal boxes are going to be located on Reserve Street, Howard Raser Drive, Grant Greek road, and I-90 West. There will be a budget of $1500 for the art materials and labor and will be funded by the City of Missoula Neighborhood Grants Project.

If you are interested in being chosen for this cool opportunity, you have to get your application asap. You have to apply via submittable HERE. The application is no walk in the park, however. You'll need to submit a 3-D model of the proposal by Friday, July 15th at 5 pm.

After all the applications are submitted you will be able to view them all HERE. The judges will announce the finalists in the last week of July and Interview for the few spots at the beginning of August, so get to work!

I can't wait to see what Missoula comes up with this year. Again, this is something very special and unique to our community. After this year nearly all of the Missoula traffic signal boxes will be given its own unique look.
