In 2021, far more people moved to Montana than out of it (thanks for the assist, research team!) Thanks to never running out of stuff to look at or do, Billings and Missoula continue to see about a 4:1 ratio of inbound moves versus people moving away. That trend seems to be continuing in 2022.

Why choose Missoula, is it because you sought adventure? Got a job? Going to school? Your restless hiking spirit seeks a mighty challenge? Simply to escape California?

Whatever your reason, you'll need to get acclimated to your adopted home. You're here, you may as well. And lucky for you, theres a popular social platform that can help you do just that, if you avail yourself to it.

As someone who's bopped around the country plenty in my chosen profession as a gum flapper / trash panda / keyboard warrior / level 42 nerd, when you make it to your new adopted home it can be hard to get to know your new surroundings, especially if you grew up insanely introverted like me and only left the house by force.

Missoula Cycling

If you've moved here from a big city (or small town, it doesn't matter) that treated bicyclists and curbs like leperous eight balls and side rails on a pool table, you might be happy to know that Missoula is very bike-friendly. Our main thoroughfares (Brooks St, Russell St, Reserve St, Higgins Ave) all have dedicated bike lanes, and you can learn the ins and outs of Missoula in the comments.
