Montana Challenges Vermont To Beard Contest For Charity
It’s time for your awesome beard to stop catching crumbs and start making some dough for Charity! The Vermont Make A Wish foundation recently held a “Turn Your Whiskers Into Wishes” contest to raise money . While their beards were “ok for an Eastern state” according to Doug Koester, the CEO of Make A Wish Montana, he thinks Montana has them beat (and so do we).

Last year over 100 Vermonters took part in a contest to find the best beard in Vermont. Dubbed The First annual Vermont Beardies, the contest raised nearly $30,000 for Make-A-Wish Vermont, enough to grant three wishes for Vermont children facing critical illnesses.
Make-A-Wish Montana has set out to back up their challenge with their own contest at montanabeardies.com
In response to Montana’s challenge, Make-A-Wish Vermont recruited their bearded celebrity spokesman, the original Most Interesting Man in the World, Jonathan Goldsmith who said in a video statement “We’ll take that challenge, and Vermont will bet one case of maple syrup that Vermont’s best beard will prevail. Beard on, Montana.”
“Vermont has a good head start,” acknowledged Koester,” But I don’t think they know what they’re up against. Beard on, Vermont.”
He’s willing to bet a case of Bison Steaks against a case of their Maple Syrup to prove it. Once you’ve entered make sure to rally for donations under your entry. Don’t forget to name your beard campaign something fun!
